ALL WORKSHEETS CAN BE FOUND IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Monday – Students will review – solve 3-variable systems using the substitution and elimination method. Students will complete a review worksheet (complete problems 3-5 and 8-10). Worksheet is due on Tuesday.

Tuesday – Students will check assignment. Students will take homework quiz. Students will use matrices to solve 3-variable systems (graphing calculator and an online matrix calculator). No homework!

Wednesday – Students will practice using matrices to solve 3-variable systems. Students will set up word problems using systems and solve using matrices. Students will complete a worksheet. The assignment is due on Thursday.

Thursday – EARLY RELEASE for UIL DISTRICT Competition

Friday – Students will check assignment. Students will take homework quiz. Students will complete TSI worksheet.

Wednesday – Students will check assignment from yesterday. Students will take notes over examples of solving 3-variable systems using elimination method. Students will complete an assignment due tomorrow. Assignment is in BigIdeasMath.com.

Thursday – Students will complete BONUS PROBLEMS over last week’s test.  Students will check assignment from yesterday and ask clarification questions. Students will complete an assignment – worksheet solving 3-variable systems using the elimination method. Assignment due tomorrow.

Friday – Students will check assignment. Students will take a practice TSI test.

MONDAY – Students will discuss the potato launcher activity given on Friday (a copy of the activity is in Google Classroom). Students will work through word problems with teacher. Students will complete 7 word problems as an assignment due tomorrow! OMIT #6 from the assignment.

TUESDAY – Students will check assignment and discuss problems. Students will complete an additional 7 word problems as an assignment due tomorrow!

WEDNESDAY – Students will check assignment and discuss problems. Students will complete a review for the test tomorrow. A copy of the review and worked out key will be in Google Classroom.

THURSDAY – Students will take a test – quadratic inequalities, write quadratic equations given focus, directrix, and/or vertex (vertex can be at the origin or not), and quadratic word problems.

FRIDAY – Students will take a homework quiz over quadratic word problems. Students will review solving systems of equations – substitution method, elimination method, and graphically. Students will complete an assignment due on MONDAY!

STUDENTS WHO FAILED THE RETAKE TEST HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CORRECT THE TEST FOR A 70. MAY COME IN BEFORE SCHOOL OR ENRICHMENT ON TUESDAY TO GET QUESTIONS ANSWERED. MAY EITHER CORRECT TEST ON WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY (BEFORE SCHOOL OR DURING ENRICHMENT)

Tuesday – Students will take the Homework Quiz over Quadratic Inequalities.  Students will check homework from Friday.

Wednesday – EARLY RELEASE DAY. Students will work on assignment or correct test.

Thursday – Students will take notes – writing quadratic equations given focus and/or directrix when the vertex is not at the origin. Students will work through example problems. Students will complete an assignment due on FRIDAY!! STUDENTS WHO NEED TO CORRECT RETAKE QUIZ SHOULD COME IN BEFORE SCHOOL OR DURING ENRICHMENT.

Monday – Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions and go over material for a retest – graph and write quadratic equations in vertex, standard, and intercept form.

Tuesday – Students will take a retake test.

Wednesday – Students will do an activity working with the focus and directrix. Students will take notes with example problems – writing equations given focus and directrix.

Thursday – Students will take notes – example problems – then practice writing equations using the distance formula. Students will complete an assignment – textbook p. 124 6,8,9,10. DUE TOMORROW. Access textbook online at Bigideasmath.com under resources. A copy of the page and notes are in Google Classroom.

Friday – Students will take notes and do practice problems writing equations given focus and directrix. Students will complete an assignment – copy of worksheet is in Google Classroom along with notes. The worksheet is DUE on Tuesday, Feb 21. The Homework Quiz over Quadratic Inequalities has been postponed until Tuesday, Feb. 21. Please be prepared to take it at the beginning of the period.
